This step allows you to select a machine and the toolpath strategies you need to cut your model.

Select, add or modify the machine you want to use for your project.

Tabs and Toolpaths

Toolpaths are the paths that a tool takes to cut material. They are the result of a toolpath strategy, which is a set of rules that determine how the tool moves through the material.

• Roughing: removes the bulk of the material
• Finishing: removes the remaining material to get a smooth surface finish
• Cutout: cuts the part out of the material

You can also set tabs to fix the model to the material block to avoid the model flying off when running the Finishing and/or Cutout toolpaths.
