Material

This form allows you to set the thickness of the material that you are cutting and where your model should sit within it.

Material Thickness​

You can do this by entering a value in the available field.

EasyCarve assumes the material and the model have the same XY dimensions to simplify the workflow. In practice though, this is not always the case. The XY position of the model within the material can be controlled by setting XY-Zero on the machine.

Model Position in Material​

It may be the case that you want to place the model at specific heights in the material when the material you have is thicker than the model you want to end up with. You can do this using the model positioning slider.

Use the slider to adjust where the model is placed in the material.

The anchor point toggle buttons are only relevant when you change the model or material thickness.

  • If you have the top anchor selected, we will try to keep the top gap fixed when changing the model or material thickness
  • If you have the bottom anchor selected, we will try to keep the bottom gap fixed when changing the model or material thickness
